Welcome

By grizzleo

After a few days of absence I am back on again, and ever-more accessable. I am going to put two RSS feeds on this site to get more traffic, and I will slowly move over the other site (naturalistjourney.blogspot.com). That is where the problem was, (it took awhile to move), along with my lack of computer knowledge. In case you keep track, I am now hosted by Midphase and my blog software is called WordPress. I am not going without catching you up on todays warbler-the Yellow Warbler. The warbler was actually flitting in the brush along Cameron Run in northern Virginia. I have seen  flocks of Yellow-rumped,  Northern Parulas, at least 2 Louisianna Waterthrush's and a flock of Ruby-crowned Kinglets at Violettes Lock, in the C&O Canal National Historic Park. I saw the Prairie Warbler near Hughs Road and River Road. There are a lot off Tree Swallows in the nearby Marsh. Barred Owls and Red-shouldered Hawks have called from the nearby woods. Nesting Red-shouldered Hawks have harassed passing Red-tailed Hawks. A lone Bald Eagle pair nests near the C&0 Canal. Red-wing Blackbirds and American Goldfinches are migrating, and stopping to feed on berries (spring/purple/small) in a tree. Commarants, Great Blue Herons and Mallard males are on the river. Broadies are up in the sky migrating. More on Warblers later. Matt
