Invasive Plants; My Ground Zero

Last evening Will Steger gave a great global climate change talk. He talked about “ground zero”-and I thought back to mine…invasive plants. They seem to be everywhere.

There was Brazillian Pepper, Melaleuca, Moonvine ,Kudzu, Russian Olive, Tree of heaven…more than a thousandspecies.

I see the invasives taking hold and changing habitats and making these habitats get less productive.

As it gets warmer these plants go from holding habitat to strangling habitats.I see that phenomina happening before my eyes.

That definately awakened me to the thought that our climate was changing.
