Backing Off, Chapter 3 Of Bill Mckibben’s Book On Climate Change; A Review

I have read chapter 3 of Bill Mckibben’s new book on global climate change, eaarth from page 102 to page 150. The chapter is entitled, Backing Off.

Mckibben starts this chapter explaining what works in a community Mckibben and starts the chapter by explaining why “to big to fail” will not work… during the times of global climate change.

Mckibben describes successful communities during this time as: durable, sturdy, stable, hardy and robust…these are communitys that are not “to big to fail” but instead scrappy. Mckibben spends a lot of time writing about small economies that feature buying locally as examples of what will work.

If methane gas leakswidly I have read several authors describe that as unsurvivable for all of life as we know it…wher does Mckibben stand on that…according to Mckibben methane gas is already leaking.
